Join the Swelling Chorus! Psalm 148, Proverbs 2

May the mumbling commence!

God of all creation, You are worthy of our praise!  We sing along with the psalmist in Psalm one-hundred forty-eight:

Praise the Lord from the earth,
You great sea creatures and all the depths;
Fire and hail, snow and clouds;
Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
Mountains and all hills;
Fruitful trees and all cedars;
Beasts and all cattle;
Creeping things and flying fowl;
Kings of the earth and all peoples;
Princes and all judges of the earth;
Both young men and maidens;
Old men and children. (Verses 7-12)

Can you hear it?  All of creation praises the Lord.  The sea and all it contains praise the Lord.  Even the storms of our lives blow and rage at the command of God.  Mountains and hills and the plant life praise the Lord.  All animals praise the Lord.  The greatest of humanity praises the Lord – kings and princes and judges.  People at all stages of life praise the Lord.

Now that you can hear the chorus of praise, what are you going to do about it?  Will you join in the praise?  It is what we were created for!

PRAISE THE LORD!

Praising the Lord is the wisest thing that we can possibly do.  The Lord preserves us.  And there is nothing more pleasant than to be preserved in relationship to the Lord!  Read from Proverbs chapter two:

When wisdom enters your heart,
And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,
Discretion will preserve you;
Understanding will keep you. (Verses 10-11)

Yes, we will praise the Lord – even on Monday!  The Lord is worthy of our praise every day of the week and month and year – all the days of our lives.

Join the swelling chorus of praise of the Lord God Almighty!

Enough mumbling for now…

Peace Out
