May the mumbling commence!
Harmony is pleasant.
Harmony is different tones
being played together in complementary
ways. Harmony means that we can live
side by side and be different. We can complement
one another through our differences.
This harmonic way of living is the gateway to God’s
blessing. Why would we choose any other
way to live? Read Psalm One-hundred
Thirty-three:
How wonderful
it is, how pleasant,
when brothers live together in harmony!
For harmony is as precious as the fragrant anointing oil
that was poured over Aaron's head,
that ran
down his beard
and onto the border of his robe.
Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon
that falls
on the mountains of Zion.
And
the Lord has pronounced his
blessing,
even life
forevermore.
Embrace the wonder and pleasant nature of harmony. Know the extravagance of the Lord’s
blessings. They are like anointing oil poured
over our heads… running down our faces… saturating our clothes.
Embrace and know and receive these things and discover
life like you’ve never lived it before.
We’re talking about life evermore here!
Strike up the chord of different tones sounding
together. Bring the blessings of the Lord
on!
That is peace.
Read from Hebrews chapter twelve:
Try to live in peace with everyone, and seek to live a
clean and holy life, for those who
are not holy will not see the Lord. Look after each other so that none of you will miss out
on the special favor of God. Watch out that no bitter root of unbelief rises up
among you, for whenever it springs up, many are corrupted by its poison. Make sure that no one is immoral or godless
like Esau. He
traded his birthright as the oldest son
for a single meal. And
afterward, when he wanted his father's blessing, he was rejected. It was too
late for repentance, even though he wept bitter tears. (Verses
14-17)
Trade this peace and harmony of the Lord’s blessing the
birthright, if you will, for nothing.
Nothing else can compare. If you
trade these gifts from God for anything, you will doom yourself to bitter
tears.
Are you different than me? Great!
Let’s try to find ways to complement one another.
Enough mumbling for now…
Peace Out
