May the mumbling commence!
CHRIST WILL COME AGAIN! It will be a time of joy and celebration among those people who follow the Way of Jesus. Are you ready for that joy? It is a joy that we find in one another because we have praised God together and because we have edified one another.
Read from First Thessalonians chapter two (NLT):
Dear brothers and sisters, after we were separated from you for a little while (though our hearts never left you), we tried very hard to come back because of our intense longing to see you again. We wanted very much to come, and I, Paul, tried again and again, but Satan prevented us. After all, what gives us hope and joy, and what is our proud reward and crown? It is you! Yes, you will bring us much joy as we stand together before our Lord Jesus when he comes back again. For you are our pride and joy. (Verses 17-20)
Our relationships hold us together when we are near. Our relationships call us to gather when we are apart. Strong relationships with our Lord Jesus and with our brothers and sisters grant us great hope and joy… great pride and joy. Just look at what God has done among us!
Right relationships will help us to stand before the Lord Jesus when he comes again. Let us do the hard work of making our relationships with God and all Creation right. The hard work will pay off.
