May the mumbling commence!
Though life may storm on, the Lord reigns. And that is a good thing. The Almighty One has dominion over floods, waves, and the very depths of the sea. Of what or whom shall I be afraid? Read Psalm ninety-three:
The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty;
The Lord is clothed, He has girded Himself with strength.
Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved.
Your throne is established from of old;
You are from everlasting.
The floods have lifted up, O Lord,
The floods have lifted up their voice;
The floods lift up their waves.
The Lord on high is mightier
Than the noise of many waters,
Than the mighty waves of the sea.
Your testimonies are very sure;
Holiness adorns Your house, O Lord, forever.
Great is our Lord! There is none like God. Our Creator has no beginning and no end. Our Lord is from everlasting to everlasting.
Help us to remember these things, O Lord, when we feel like we cannot possibly keep our head above the waves of life. Help us to remember these things as we feel the terror of our stormy nights. Help us to remember these things when we feel that we are drowning in the sorrows of life.
And, as we remember, let us also recall that the Lord is mightier than any storm that our life can throw at us.
This power is a true testimony of our Lord. It is sure – surer than the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. Let us enter the sanctuary of God’s presence knowing these things.
You, alone, are worthy to be praised and worshiped! Your every Word is a light that shows me the Way of the Lord – the way of life. Read from Proverbs chapter six:
For the commandment is a lamp,
And the law a light;
Reproofs of instruction are the way of life. (Verse 23)
I recognize You, O Lord, as the Master of my life storms.
Enough mumbling for now…
Peace Out
